With remarkable craftsmanship, these adornments were believed to serve both as symbols of status and protection. This artwork captures the essence of a Scythian horse adorned with gold, inspired by the stunning examples of Scythian jewelry dating back to the 6th century BCE. In my research, I explored both ancient texts and modern interpretations, working with references from historical sources. The painting embodies the strength, beauty, and spirit of the Scythian people, who blurred the lines between warriors and artists. Scythian women, alongside men, were formidable riders and fighters, a fact that may have inspired the legends of the Amazons.
